State Police issues Easter bunny alert over the weekend

Connecticut State Police gave a fun warning about the Easter bunny over the weekend after it was seen hiding eggs and transporting candy containers in Lisbon.

Officers at Troop E said they were called to Route 169 in Lisbon around 5 p.m. The following Saturday for a report on a suspicious episode.

According to the state police, it was reported that a suspicious being was driving a jeep and was hiding eggs, moving candy boxes, and sneaking around the balconies of neighboring houses.

Whenever officers showed up, they said they identified the driver as a 450-year-old rabbit. Bunny assured that getting a kick out of the Easter holiday he was trying.

Because the rabbit did not have a forensic specialist license, the specialists said that an emphatic warning was given.

He was sent on his way with the assurance that he was not "among the furs" with more police affairs.

Happy Easter!
